I will try to answer the three of you who answered me. Firstly I should say that my titration level was to go up in increments of two until I got to 11 and not one quick move to 11. However, my main points are that I believe the tests are not reliable or valid and I would like to see the same person tested by three or more doctors over a short time period even one per day at different labs. I would venture to say that the results would vary so widely that they would call into question the entire testing mechanisms and would show serious unreliability and validity.
While I have no data to support my claims I belive that some settings are too low and some are too high and both can be dangerous. The whole science of testing is what I am questioning and the sleep labs that I have been tested in did not impress me. Those of you who are still suffering the results of OSA should probably go higher and those who cant tolerate the air flow pressure and have nasal problems in the morning should probably go lower. Perhaps what are my impressions will be born out one day with scientific studies but lets hope in the meantime for a cure which does not involve surgery
