Lawrence, you won't get any argument from me about the state of the art in diagnosis or treatment. This is a relatively new field of medicine and there is obviously a ways to go before we reach perfection -- if ever! I don't think you would get much argument from the doctors about this either. I keep thinking that if I had my problem in the 1960s or the 50s, I'd still be waking up gasping and choking. I had an operation on my nose on Friday to relieve a severe breathing problem. 50 years ago I'd probably just have had to suffer with it.
