My insurance wouldn't pay for the cpap machine without at least one night in the sleep center. If you have a good pulmonary dr. he should be able to tell if you have it or not, but it's very important to do the sleep lab. My regular MD, put me on oxygen while I waited to see the pulmonary DR., he had been treating me for depression and other problems for two years before I told him I snored. Within a months time, I had oxygen and a new doctor, sleep center and two overnight test at home for oxygen levels. This is a good site to following and ask questions. My husband hasn't slept with me in 5 years and I waited til now to get something done. Patti
