I do not have edema to the extent that you describe your problem. But I do have fluid retention due to a thickened heart (Apparently my blood pressure had been elevating at night due to sleep apnea for years-thus the thickening.)

When I began the CPAP last April I had to take 3/ 40mg. lasix per day. After 6 months of CPAP, I only take one per day and the problem is still getting better, so I expect to stop lasix altogether soon.

I don't know if our conditions are that similar, but just wanted you to know that CPAP may help with the edema. Good Luck!!
