I'm not using the same mask/headgear combination that you are, but I have found wonderful uses for the double-sided velcro that comes with my chin strap. (Respironics softcap). I attach velcro to the sides of the softcap (where the mfg suggests) BUT I also attach 2 pieces to one of the long ends ... instead of cutting them off, I wrap them to the top of my head, and secure the chin strap "nearly vertical". Since the chin strap is only velcro fuzz on one side, I have to twist one of the strap to make it stick ... I don't think I have described this very well, but EMail me is you would like more details.

I haven't had any chin-slippage issues since coming up with this trick.
