The reason that they say you can't use the Mirage mask with an auto titrating CPAP or SMART CPAP is because of the vibration that occurs in the tubing assembly can effect the pressures. As far as your humidifier you are getting taken. Tell your DME that you want a Fisher & Paykel cool humidifier. That way if you need to add a heater to it later you can at a lower cost. As far as people just wanting a Smart CPAP it is usally because they think they are better able to manage there sleeping disorder better than the Doctor.
