Actually, the DME R.T. has been doing CPAP for 20+ years so was very knowledgeable. She said her husband has been on CPAP for 2 years. I think she was right when she said the data available from a smart CPAP would be very interesting to patients at first but doubted too many people would continue to use the features for very long--eventually gets boring and mundane. I'm surprised that AutoAdjust LT only stores 7 days of data. The Virtuoso LX stores 4.5 months! She said it might be a good choice to use in fixed CPAP mode but the cost doesn't really justify doing that.
Did alot more data gathering tonight and found only a couple of CPAPs that would even meet my needs (portable for travel, auto altitude adjust, mask leak/off detection, both pollen and ultrafine filters). In fact, if I eliminate the smart CPAPs I have a choice of just two (Sullivan V Elite and Tranquility Quest Plus). So I'll probably go with the Sullivan V Elite. Couldn't find any specs on the F&P CPAP/humidifier unit.
