Hi Karen,
Are you folks dealing with a doctor who specializes in SLEEP DISORDERS? I had a similiar experience of an ENT prescribing a whole bunch of carving and cutting and I did not have any of it done. I went to a professional sleep study labatory and ended up with CPAP. It is working well. My advice would be to get a second opinion by some doctor(s) who specializes in Sleep Disorders. Your note describes a few of the traits I've found in a few professionals who are in the money making business and have a bunch of sharp tools.
Good Luck,

Roy
