Hi Amy in TN,
We have the same insurance. It has paid all but the co-pay and I'm renting the CPAP for a 11 month period and then if all is well, the unit is mine. Rent is being paid for by BCBS. Be sure to get a heated humidifier. It is not covered by BCBS, however, it is a must in my case. It cost me 260.00 out of pocket. The mask can be a problem until you find one that fits. I'm on my third one and living with a red nose bridge each morning which is gone by sleep time again. I don't have a beard, however, there are lot of forum discussion on it. I would not rush into any surgerg stuff until you have had a few hours of digesting what has happened to many who have listed first hand experience. I'd suggest doing some or a lot of research and in the interim your man can get some good sleep with the CPAP.
Good Luck,Roy
