Hello Sleepy Bert,
Thelma is 100%+ correct in my book. I've had a malfunctioning heart valve all of my life. My heart doctor/surgeon never thought to do any checking of oxygen levels, just the ole caths at 3600 bucks a hit to see if the valve is still there. A big money making scheme. The doctors at Mayos did the oxygen test and told me to get something done about the OSA. CPAP has been a big help. I now require 6.5-7 hours of sleep verses 10-12 before and the body systems are getting oxygen like never before. Immune system is much stronger, and I can only assume my heart is much happier getting all this new air. YES! I believe OSA can screw up the only good pump you have. Don't hesitate, and good luck,

Roy
