Were your doctors board certified sleep specialists? I'm surprised your providers could be so blase about your AHI. That's some serious sleep fragmentation; it's no wonder you feel terrible. Do you have your data on sleep efficiency and sleep stage percentages?

I don't agree that sleep specialists don't acknowledge the affects of hypoxemia and sleep frag. on cognition.

Usually sleep docs are advocates re: the treatment of the underlying sleep problems. Instead of shuttling off people to psychiatrists our lab is the 'last stop' for people that have gotten the run around with being treated for depression for years. It's so great to see someone finally get a good night's sleep on CPAP.

Everyone with diagnosed OSA should have a repeat study after their UPPP to see if it helped.
