Billing code for humidifier update

Bad news. I was able to look at the codes for 2000 (CPT and HCPCS codes are update annually) at work today and they now have two different codes for humidifier to be used with CPAP--one for heated and one for unheated.

K0268 Humidifier, non- heated, used with positive airway pressure device

K0531 Humidifier, heated, used with positive airway pressure device

So my previous post "Insurance-DME Secret" needs to have this update.

K0193 This code has been deleted for 2000. Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device, with humidifier
