It probably wouldn't hurt to call your doctor's office about your concerns. But my guess is that they'll (i.e. doctor's office, doc's receptionist, etc) want you to make an appointment to see the doc personally ;-) I've never really heard about a case where the doc would simply up your pressure with just a phone call. Usually they'll want to retitrate if changes in pressure are prescribed. (Also if you've only been utilizing the CPAP for 11 days, a month would probably give you and your doc a better 'big picture' of your CPAP experience, so they may just say wait until March 1st and see the doc...). It's possible your current pressure isn't right since you say you don't suspect any significant mask leaks or mouth breathing. But if you did suspect mouth breathing (because you wake up with a dry mouth), maybe a good chin strap is all that's needed to solve your problem. The doc might recommend that you be retitrated if he felt your pressure was off. I also didn't sleep well--only 2 hours---during my first titration, had mixed results during my first month on the CPAP, so my sleep doc set me up with an autopap for a few days to gather additional data at home (rather than have me go thru another sleep study/titration. Others I hear got retitrated thru another full sleep study. It's not unusual). As a result my pressure was bumped up significantly from the additional info and this has helped significantly.
As for the humidifier, sounds to me like your settings are a little low. I also use the Humidaire and use a 7 ~ 7.5 setting with filtered or distilled water, never straight tap water (since it has chlorine that can irritate the nostrils). You just have to play with the settings.
