Cathy,
There is no magic pill to cure sleep apnea. Now that you have found this forum do a little research. See what other people have said about cpap and sleep apnea. You have noticed the postings where someone notices immediate results. there are also plenty of posts where people have had to patiently take months to find a solution that will work for them.
There are lots of posts that discuss tips on how to get used to cpap, how to rig your set up to work better for you personally.
If you would tell us why you pull the headgear off we can share what we did in the past.
For example... I used to pull off my headgear all the time. I eventually had my wife gently remind me that I had to wear it all night. It made me mad but I knew she was right and would put it back on. I used to wake up claustrophobic and frustrated and rip it off. I learned to hit the ramp button instead and take a couple of calming breaths.
Sleep apnea is a serious condition that can lead to a number of health problems...not to mention the damage it can do to your quality of life. Please give cpap a chance.
As you read through the posts on this and past forums you will also find lots of people who eventually find what they need and life improves. There is also lots of supportive caring people here.
God Bless
