Last June my ENT said somnoplasty on the palette was not suitable for me because there was too much tissue to remove. He did laser assisted UPPP instead. In December he did Somnoplasty on the turbinates saying he had good results with that but was "underwhelmed" by the results that he had seen with somnoplasty on the palette in other patients. So I conclude that in his view laser for pallette is more effective, somnoplasty OK for turbinates.
