It is VERY common during the first few weeks of CPAP therapy to wake up and notice you've pulled the mask off an night. Most people have found that this behavior eventually goes away. Some have even taped and/or pinned their masks to their hair to make this removal hard to do.

Cue is also right that nasal congestion is the main reason people pull their masks off at night when they are asleep, particularly if this behavior starts up after the initial adjustment period has been successful. And the number one cause of nasal congestion with CPAP is not using a heated humidifier in your breathing circuit. Almost all of the "veterans" of this BBS strongly recommend an inline heated humidifier. MHAM
