What you had is called a "split study." I had a separate baseline one night and study with CPAP another. I really fell that this is better, as it established the seriousness of my condition. Of course, a split study is OK.

By the way, you should have a follow-up study at this time, to see if the setting originally prescribed is still the ideal setting for you. This study will be with your own machine.
