If you start at the sleepnet home page, you will find a lot of information on the various sleep disorders. When you link to the apnea page there is a pretty complete discription of the condition.
If you haven't read that, I would suggest you start there and read everything you can.
This is a condition that not enough is known about, and for which, if you want to get the best care, you have to learn all that you can.
