mask vs. nose pillows

Posted by snowwhite on February05, 2000 at 10:48:33:

I was diagnosed with serious sleep apnea two weeks ago. I am a relatively restless sleeper and "hug" a pillow when sleeping. Initially, I tried nose pillows (which stayed in place very well), but the force of the air (16p) was extremely uncomfortable. I then switched to a mask which was more comfortable, but kept being knocked off or was having leaks. I found myself having to hold the mask onto my face. Needless to say, while I feel better when I get a night's sleep, a night's sleep hasn't come easily! If anybody has ideas on how to keep the mask on better, please let me know! Thanks.
