Two possible reasons

I can think of two possible reasons:

1. They want to make sure your titrated pressure isnt't too high.

2. They believe your titrated pressure is a valid baseline, and want to see if the autopap will at least autopap above that, i.e., the autopap is functioning. This second possibility would be a good strategy for any autopap used with a new patient, but particularly a suspect one like the Virtuoso.

I suggest you ask. I think whatever answer they give would be interesting.
