I don't think you can totally eliminate them but in my case I use an ADAM circuit with headgear and I have to use a chin strap. To reduce the strap marls on my partially bald head and face, I use part of cotton undershirt as sort of a head sock and then put on the chin strap and head gear. I am sure it is quite strange and funny but in my case it did help. :)
