I'm also pretty new to CPAP. I also had irritated eyes, apparantly from mask leaks. I too went to nasal pillows and only on rare occasions have I had eye problems after 6 weeks on the pillows. I thought I'd hate the nasal pillows, but I really prefer them to the nasal mask. Good luck.
