Health care in the great white north is available to any Canadian. We pay for it in higher taxes. Much to my dismay some of our politicians (federal & provincial) are falling over themselves trying to imitate the private health systems of our good neighbours to the south. But at the present time health care is still available to all no matter their financial status. It's true long waiting lists exist but no one that asks goes without health care. As far as CPAP goes my visits to the sleep lab were covered by my provincial health plan as well as a Solo Plus LX CPAP system and Oasis. A more expensive unit such as a AutoAdjust LT or AutoSet T was not covered and I'm on my own. Don't get me wrong folks...I love visiting the US and have several American friends but when it comes to health care it's the great white north for me.
