I've never experienced rainout with my HC-201. Last time I had a cold I moved the humidiity from the middle to the high end. Still no sign of rainout (though I use up all 400 ml of water by morning). I have the unit on a table which is about even with the bed, and keep the room 70ish, though it had been lower on occasion. If this still doesn't work, try wrapping the hose.
