Mask fit is really a personal thing. However I've convinced one of my wife's bosses (she's a sleep tech) to let me test new masks as they come in from salespeople and give my opinion on them.
My first mask was a Glold Seal Profile, very good sturdy mask but at my pressure of 12 cm it had to be on pretty tight and was painful by morning.
Next the Gold Seal Profile lite, another good sturdy mask can be heated and molded to your face; the molding to the face seems like a good idea but not very practical.
Next, the Simplicity, very small, great little mask but only comes in small and medium sizes.
The Sullivan Mirage, my favorite so far. Light weight and the thin silicon seal self inflates when under pressure and seals to your face. At lower pressures may not seal as well.
Sleepnet IQ, the latest in my collection. Very small gel seal mask. The first mask I've seen which can be more or less reshaped to the face; there's a wire imbedded just behind the gel gasket. The only problem I see is the mounting hardware, only 2 straps hold the mask. If 3 or more staps were used the mask would stay in place with less strap pressure.
From my standpoint your going to be on this equipment for life get used to it and get comfortable. A CPAP is a CPAP but a mask, AHHHHH!The Lone Ranger
