I can certainly understand your anger and fear. I'd be terrified.

One point to remember, though, is that a trach is not necessarily a permanent solution. You can have it removed. It is completely reversible. But it could buy you time for more research and the possibility of better answers.

Whatever you decide to do, hang in there.
