Certainly I would rather be apnea free and also trach free.
In my case, the central apnea is much worse than the obstruction. My trach stopped the obstruction problem and is an avenue for the vent and oxygen to be attached to the trach tube in order to stop the central problem.
I have been apnea free for several years now as long as I comply with the vent and oxygen treatment during sleep.
This solution combination is not for everyone but if others can learn that this worked for me, if they are in my same situation they may have hope of getting on the road to sound health.
It is not easy but it has worked for me. It has returned me from near death to near health.
Take care and go straight ahead.
