I have several friends in Canada all of whom have guarded praise the healthcare system there. True, not every procedure goes well, not everyone gets an appointment when they want it, and not everyone is happy about their treatment. I can say the same about healthcare in the USA.

However, as far as I can see, nearly everyone gets care if they need it just by being a citizen. Not so in the USA, where only those with insurance policies and/or money get treated for such things as OSA. I have my own business and pay for my own insurance and it is the second largest expense I have, the first being my astronomical property taxes. I feel I am lucky to be able to afford health insurance.

I think national healthcare is long overdue in the US and the way the current healthcare industry is dropping the ball it is only a matter of time before it happens.
