I did a search on eye irritation yesterday in past forums. The consensus seemed to be that leaks can cause irritated eyes, but that your eyes can get irritated just because the tear ducts are connected to your nose/sinus system.

After 4 days on CPAP (I feel like an entirely new person), my eyes were bloodshot and irritated. I could not seem to get the leaks at the top of my Mirage nasal mask to stop. It didn't leak all the time, but at least three or four times a night I'd have to readjust it. So I asked my DME for a Breeze nasal pillow system, which she cheerfully provided, and I feel much better today.

Meanwhile me and the artificial tears bottle are best friends!
