John,
I keep my CPAP unit and humidifier on the floor by the bed (polished floor kept scrupulously clean)under the bed, and run the hose up between the mattress and base, bringing it up behind my head (between mattress and bedhead) and over the pillow. By manipulating the length of hose coming up from between mattress and bedhead, I can adjust so that the hose is supported and doesn't pull up, down or sideways. Seal is maintained and my head movement is not restricted.

(I just read that back - I hope it makes sense - good luck anyway if you give this a try)

Stu.
