Bipap and CHF

Posted by Joan on September 22, 1998 at 17:17:15:

Hi everybody, I'm a newby! I've had congestive heart failure since April of 97, I'm 47, and just was told yesterday I will be put on Bipap post haste, with settings of (ins)15 & (exp)12, I haven't been told anything else, is anyone familiar with this, husband is guessing central apnea. Dr's and Sleep Lab are not very forthcoming with me, will the Mystique work with these settings, I'm tired of being kept in the dark by well meaning, supposed to be professionals. Hoping to have the machine in next few days. My husband has Cpap, I can't figure why I need Bipap. Thanks!
