GOOD NEWS!

Posted by Bill (Ann Arbor,MI) on September 23, 1998 at 10:58:21:

Went to the doctor on Monday and if I don't lose anymore weight I get my mouth unwired on Monday the 28th. Its really a catch 22, if I lose anymore weight (23 lbs as of today) my body doesn't have enough energy to repair the surgery wounds, and I can't get unwired. Its really hard to maintain. I have to intake 2600 calories a day. Thats really hard to do when your jaws are wired shut.
I'm sleeping through the night too. Have lots of energy and plan on serious workout when the doc lets me. I haven't weighed 186 pounds since I was in the service in the 70's!
The surgery was worth it! No question about it. In my case I can tell already a difference, I hope this is the end of my apnea!
Thanks for the continuing support!
Bill
