Therese and husband...As you both are discovering, OSA is NO FUN.(pun intended) The other bad thing is that the treatment does not bring an overnight cure. Believe me, your husband is so much out of it that he is totally unaware of the cause or extent of your frustration. All his energy is spent just trying to SURVIVE...let alone be the lover you'd like him to be. I've been there (still am, to a certain extent) and it's the pits. His intentions are good, but when it comes to lovemaking, you'd better get it done before he even SEES a bed. It's involuntary. When the body gets horizontal, the eyes automatically close.(just like the old time doll babies)
I don't know if you can appreciate the frustration and feeling of self-worthlessness that a male feels when he realizes that he's fallen asleep IN THE MIDDLE OF lovemaking.
I can appreciate your feelings, too. Earlier in our marriage, I was always horny, and SHE was too tired.(tending a child) Now, SHE, being post menopausal, and I, under treatment for OSA, have found the tables turned! All I can suggest is that you COMMUNICATE and respect each other's position. I hope you love each other enough for your marriage to survive!.....George
