I don't know the reason. I"guessed" that because
I was stressing my body so much with lack of O2 and high blood pressure that this was causing it.
Also, I had a very strong smell of Ketones. All of these symptoms vanished when I started CPAP.
I don't have to get up to urinate at night at all,
no smell of ketones in urine. And blood pressure
is back to where it was 20 years ago.
While I'm posting, think I'll take a moment and say that I down loaded the data off my Virtuoso and took a look at what it read. Two months ago
I was using a machine with a constant setting at
15. After I got the Virtuoso I set the "settings"
at 9 and 16. I've not required above 11 in the
last month. Some nights it never goes off of the
9 setting and only occasionally--about every 3rd
night or so--does it go to 11.
I can only say how much I value the feedback I
get from the machine and how much better I've
slept with the Virtuoso and the Bubble Mask than
I did with the Sullivan constant air pressure and
the Mirage. So, if you have the opportunity try
this combination.
