Ramp

Many (perhaps most) CPAPs have a "ramp" feature. This means - exactly as the name implies - that the machine starts at reduced pressure, and gradually builds up to full pressure (generally in 20 minutes). Most ramps can be disabled either permanently, or each time you turn it on. If you can't figure out how to disable the ramp, you can start the machine 20 minutes before you go to bed.
