upp/tonsilectomy

Posted by Bob on May 13, 2000 at 14:42:01:

I had a my surgery on Thursday May 11, 2000. This forum has been a lot of help, was just wondering if someone could give an idea of what to eat and how to progress from liquid diet to solid food. Throat hurts a lot, tried creme of mushroom soup late last night, this was a mistake. Choked on the little mushrooms even after chewed. Also did another boo boo, tried to drink milk shake/ slim fast for the vitamins etc. thickened my saliva to much. I am looking forward to some of the good things that will come from this surgery. had tried the cpap/bipap etc. nothing worked, the pressure was to great and would actually push out my right eye, then when the pressure was adjusted down I would be snoring again. This was my last option, did a lot of research in this forum. I have two weeks, then I have to be back at work, great way to use a vacation(ha!HA!) I would appreciate any comments. thank you. It has really amazed me about the way that everyone is open and courteous in this forum.. Thanks again for the help an comments that have been offered to others.
