I had the same problem a few months after I started on CPAP. It only happened one time, but each time I saw/felt her near the hose after that I would give her a swat. It only took a few times until she left it alone.

My son gave me a silicone type gel in a tube that is used for household repairs. I repaired the holes one morning and then let it dry until that evening. That has been about 5 months ago and I have had no further leaking. It seems to be more permanent repair that tape.
