Bob,

I was able to eat scrambled eggs on the third day following surgery. They seemed to go down easily if I didn't overcook them. I also used a topical anesthetic spray called "Cetacaine" to numb the throat before eating or drinking. This made swallowing much easier.

Stay away from dairy products, as they will increase mucus production. I used "Soy Dream" instead of milk.
