Direct Current

According to a pamphlet put out by Franzus, parts of the following countries may use direct current: Argentina, Brazil, India, Madiera, and South Africa. According to another internet source, only India is listed.

Has anybody actually come accross this in any of these countires (or elsewhere)? It would make travel there with CPAP more difficult.
