Congestion and CPAP

I have chronic nasal congestion. I am considering the various nasal surgeries, but in the meantime, here's the deal:

When I sleep with CPAP, my congestion does not seem to impair the flow of the heated, humidified air--at least when I inhale. But when I exhale, it'a almost as if I cannot exhale properly--like the congestion and the CPAP flow are preventing me from comfortably exhaling.
