Sorry, but they did schedule mine because of my snoring, in a round-about-fashion. My wife has complained for 17 years about it, and since she works for a hospital (in the accounting department) and heard about the sleep lab (associated with a nearby clinic), and a friend had told her that snoring as an indicator of apnea, she got the doctor to make the appointment.
My sleep doctor (pulmonologist) has said to discontinue CPAP for now until other issues (such as my sinus) are settled. I have an appointment in August with an ENT and then another consultation with sleep doctor shortly after that to discuss options.
I am sure after all is said and done I will have to have another sleep test, something I am not sure I will ever do again since I was treated so horribly at my first one (another long story, but trust me, if I treated my customers that way I wouldn't have to show up for work-ever again). But I know that without it, I will not know if anything has made a difference or if the first test was correct.
Thanks for your concern.
Just a quick question, and one you don't have to reply to, but what state do you live in? If it is Nebraska, Iowa or Minnesota, maybe I should be looking into one of those doctors and labs? South Dakota is just not known as being on the cutting edge of medicine.
