High Pressure = Chin Straps?

My previous pressure was set to 7 after my first sleep study which was a 50/50 study (first half no CPAP, last half with).

I found I was even more tired after CPAP and continued waking groggy for 6+ weeks. Last week they did a full night study with CPAP and decided I need 13.

I've only slept two nights with the pressure set this high. The first night shouldn't count really, since I didn't go to bed until 4 am and I'd had a bit too much to drink.

The pressure is a lot higher. And the machine is a lot louder! Sounds like a vacuum cleaner now.

I find I have a harder time at this higher pressure keeping my mouth closed. Woke up during the night with my mouth slightly open and air rushing out, and with a very dry mouth.

Is it more likely at higher pressures to need a chin strap? I didn't need one at 7.

Is there a list of things to use for a chin strap? Or a place on this site where you can buy them?

I got frustrated at 5 am and took an ace bandage witha velcro fastener and wrapped it around my head to keep my mouth closed. Slept much better for the following four hours.

The ace bandage worked fine, but I'll bet it's going to be hot wearing that later this summer.

If I looked funny before, I look really funny now with this ace bandage wrapped around my head. Anybody know a cooler way to keep your mouth closed? Duct tape?
