Posted by Micki on July 10, 2000 at 20:11:59:Hey, hope everyone is doing well, I go next Tues. to do another sleep study with the biPaP. They tell me my ins. will pay for one. Anyhow, I am being told that I have severe sleep apnea, now I have read a lot of posts on this forum and have gotten great info. I am a bit confused on how severity is determined and really how severe mine is.
O.K. I had 78 episodes of apneas, 427 hypopneas, lowest O2 level 72% and RDI of 140.9. Now according to these numbers and what I have read, I don't know how I am even alive. Does anyone have any input? and how is the pressure determined? Thanks for your help. Micki
