I've not been to Macchu-Piccu, but I am going to Grand Lake, Colorado next month (where I worked many boyhood summers on my cousin's ranch 45 years ago). It's over 10,000 feet above sea level. My cousin's ranch, now a U.S. National Historical Site, was at nearly 11,000 feet.
This altitude rarely bothers me much, even though I have lived at under 800 feet for nearly 40 years. But that was pre-CPAP. I bought a refurbished Solo LX Plus with manual altitude adjustment that I'll be taking with me, but I think it stops adjusting at around 7,000 or less. I didn't have any trouble with a non-adjustable Sullivan V CPAP last summer at 7,200 feet, tho. I'll let you know!
