Here's my 2cents:

I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I had 171 events in 5 hours and oxygen saturation dropped to 72%. My doc was not very pleased with that. Both my neurologist and ENT recommended surgery at the earliest possible time - and that was 3 weeks from when the diagnosis was made. So I had a UPPP, septoplasty and tonsillectomy on June 7, about a month ago. Also, I went to sleep in less than a minute and the doctor said that was indicative of how tired I really was (I mean I fell asleep in less than a minute during the sleep study.)
