Turning the Heater off / Low Wattage Scokets in U.K.

Yes, I do not think that you can turn the heater totally off.

Another question is can the HC-201 (or 200) be plugged into those special lamp sockets (3 round pins) found in the U.K. and Ireland? These are lower wattage sockets, but they tend to be much nearer the bed than the applicance sockets (three flat pins).
