I have asked both my doctor and the RT technician who made the change to my CPAP about using an AutoPAP. My doctor said he didn't know anything about them. When I offered him literature about them, he declined the information and said he wasn't interested. The RT tech (who works at the sleep lab owned by my doctor) said that autoPAPs were a pile of c*ap and he wouldn't recommend anyone using them. End of discussion.

I did have my pressure changed from 12 to 13 and will give it a week or so and see how I am feeling. Neither the doctor or RT even suggested that I try a full face mask. I guess they were more concerned about my waking up several times a night to go to the bathroom.

I'm seriously thinking about changing to a new doctor. I don't have a lot of confidence in any doctor who turns down information on new technology in his chosen field.

Thank you for all of your input.

Laurie
