To be more precise.

I should have been a bit more precise perhaps.

I find I have two problems using the Mirage FF mask: it slides and either causes me to wake up fairly promptly or it causes me to wake up after oxygen levels decline severely; and it causes severe discomfort with all that air drying out my mouth and throat.

In an effort to retain use of the FF mask but force myself to breathe through my nose, I have resumed use of micropore tape over my lips. However, it is this tape that seems to be ineffective: I still mouthbreathe eventually and the tape seems to lower the pressure sufficiently so that although I still get some benefit from the cpap, it seems I have a reduced pressure and still get a dry mouth.
My previous use of a chin strap has proven ineffective, it slides off promptly and never really keeps my mouth closed anyway.
