After reading Reno Tom's post, I knew I wasn't wrong in my concerns. Thanks.

I emailed my sleep doctor in Seattle with the numbers I was seeing on the meter. He was very prompt in returning my email within an hour of my sending to him. He said he and his staff will do anything to expidite the consult and sleep study. We still have to go through the PCP for referral, but son now has an appointment with the sleep doctor for August 28. Referral should be in long before that. Will be seeing the PCP this coming Friday and sleep doctor said to stress to the PCP to expedite the referral.

BTW, son is handling this quite well. Although he did seem concerned that he may need to take the sleep study in Phoenix without family nearby. It's bad enough to be going to a big city by yourself for school, but to add medical concerns that need immediate attention is asking a bit much for one who is not use to these kinds of life experiences yet. He is learning, though it be scary for him.

Thanks all for listening. Will keep you posted on how things are going as they happen.
