If insurance companies were TRULY interested in patient health and saving cost, there are a lot of things they'd do differently!

The hilariously-named "Health Maintenance Organizations" are doing nothing about maintaining health. They do not, for example, encourage good up-front care that prevents worse cases later. They're more about cost containment in the form of reducing face to face time and denying procedures.

Far from encouraging CPAP instead of Prilosec, I imagine they'd all be happier if we just took Tums and left them alone.

Better yet, we could just drop dead and save them both time and money! :->
